Left over tomatoes

We had a pile of left over Tomatoes and Herbs from our garden, so I have been busy in the kitchen making sure nothing went to waste. We died our herbs, made Green Tomato Pickles from the un-ripened fruit and Pasta Sauce from all the red ones. The Green Tomato Pickles recipe comes from my grand mother, they are really tasty and never last long. This is a photo of the jars still left. Click here for the recipes

Just found your blog from your comments over at Farmgirl. LOVE the blog - the pics, the videos, the chickens, the sheep, the veggies, Gus, etc...

My boyfriend and I are considering moving from our Condo in NE Ohio, USA, and are considering getting something of a hobbie farm nearby. We've only just contacted our realtor, and are quite nervous about the idea of taking on something like this - so I really enjoy coming across sites such as yours where people make it happen, and love doing so! Keep posting the great blog entries!

BTW - Fun seeing how you're in the opposite season as us. You were griping about the rainy weather half a year ago, and now it's my turn. We're just about to wrap up June and it should be warm and sunny, but instead we're having tons of rain and the first of my squash are starting to rot. Grrr...

Take care - will keep checking back!
